The Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Historical Society Inc. (HETHS) was incorporated in 1990 in the State of Indiana as a not-for-profit public, charitable, educational and scientific corporation. It is a 501(c)3 corporation and has received its recognition from the IRS as a charitable institution. It is therefore eligible to receive donations of money, automobiles, literature, memorabilia or artwork, which are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Consistent with being an exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, the purpose of HETHS is:
Filling a need for those who have an interest in preserving HET history, heritage, and the automobiles produced and sold by the Hudson Motor Car Company since its inception in 1909, is an active goal of the HETHS.
The HETHS regularly works to promote Hudson related displays at various museums across the country. The Historical Society is working with the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club to develop a useful and secure joint research library.
All donations and memberships to the Society are tax deductible and further the goals of the Society.
The operation of the Society is governed by the corporation Bylaws and the Board of Directors.
